March Healthy Surprise Review

Healthy surprise is a little different than other monthly food subscription boxes. They offer three types of boxes, the Starter Box ($33), Healthy Box ($66), and Large Box ($99). The box I received this month was the starter box.

The products in healthy surprise must meet certain requirements to get in. They have to be all Natural, Vegan, Gluten Free, Soy Free, and Corn Free! That means people with dietary restrictions can still eat these delicious munchies!

This is on the expensive side of subscription boxes in general, but they do send a lot of very high quality foods that almost anyone can enjoy!

The contents of my march starter box with approximated retail values:

Cave Man Crunch ($2.29)- I usually don't like trail mix, but this was pretty yummy. It was loaded with walnuts (I love walnuts), almonds, seeds, and other dry fruit.

Chipotle BBQ Beanitos ($3.30)- I have received this in my other various food boxes and it has always been awesome. I was happy to see they included it in this box.

Health Warrior Chia Bar in Acai Berry ($1.58)- I got this in a klutchklub I believe and it was pretty good. Chia things seem to be all the rage these days, I suppose because of all their health benefits. I usually don't like chia very much, but the seeds in this added some texture to the otherwise soft-ish bar.

1 large bag of Original Sea Sprinkles ($6)- Mmmm, this was really good, and super addicting. I ate about half the bag immediately. I love seaweed snacks, and this was no exception, I feel like I should buy more.

Hail Merry Chocolate Macaroons ($5)- How did Healthy Surprise know that I liked these so much! They have a really nice, not overpowering chocolate flavor. I always get exited when I see them in my boxes. They have a salted caramel flavor on their website and I really want to try that.

Barefruit Cinnamon Apples ($2)- These were really good! I liked that the only ingredients were apple and cinnamon. I actually liked these better than the freeze dried apples I sometimes get from Costco. They are more like chips. This might inspire me to make my own apple chips!

GoPals Original Brownie ($2.69)- Update: This was ok, it tasted more datey than choclatey. I would've preferred a normal brownie, but this might make a nice alternatives to those who can't.

GoPals Pumpkin Seed Sprouties ($1.98)- I'll put this in an update also.

Righteously Raw Synergy Spice Chocolate ($1.22)- BLEGHH. This was terribly disgusting. I can tell you that I have successfully completed the cinnamon challenge before. I can also tell you that this was worse than the cinnamon challenge. Probably the worst thing I've ever tasted. I gave the rest to my friend and they agreed.

Righteously Raw Pure Dark Chocolate ($1.22)- Put it in an update, hopefully it isn't as bad as the other one. Update: This was much better, it was really dark, but I liked it.

1 Sacred Chocolate Heart ($12.97)- Dang this chocolate is expensive, so I have high expectations for it. Check for updates on this. Update- Yum! This was tasty and surprisingly creamy for being dairy free.

The value of this box was about $50! Pretty great value for a food box if I don't say so my self. And the items seem very high quality and most of them tasted awesome. I can only imagine what are in the higher price boxes!

Verdict- I would recommend subscribing if you are willing to pay the price, you won't be disappointed

*I did receive this box free of charge to review courtesy of Healthy Surprise. This did not affect my opinion in any way of this box.
