June Goodies Co. Review

Goodies Co. is a pretty awesome snacky subscription box owned by Walmart. The reason for its excellence and success, in my opinion, is how cheap it is. Every box comes at the very reasonable price of $7 including shipping!  This is a box that comes a bit later in the month, around the 20th.  Goodies hasn't been around for too long, but they already feel like a veteran box, probably since they have marketing geniuses working for them.  You get points for providing feedback about the product that you can use to buy full-size products in their shop.

There are some little downsides to goodies. You have to wait 2-4 weeks to be able to subscribe.  You first sign up for an invite, then play the waiting game.  And the only other negative I can think of is that the website slows down all mobile devices A LOT. Like my text doesn't show up until five seconds after I've typed it. But that isn't something I would unsubscribe for by any means.

Pringles Stix Cheese ($2)- These were pretty good. They tasted like pretz with a cheeto-like coating. I at it pretty quickly.

Dream Water ($2.50)- Dream water works pretty well, but that's because it is basically Melatonin. I already take melatonin every night, and this felt the exact same. The only differences being you can drink the water, but the price is a lot higher.

Gimme Honey Dijon Seaweed Snacks ($1.66)- I love seaweed, a lot actually.  But the flavor on this wasn't too fantastic. I think mustard and seaweed just aren't supposed to be together. Maybe it would've tasted better on a salad or something of that variety.

Highland all butter Shortbread Cookies ($1.08)- I went to Scotland a couple years back, and they sold shortbread like this everywhere.  That being said, it wasn't as good as the stuff in Scotland but it was quite tasty.

Smooch Fruit Snack ($2) - I don't know why this was called a fruit snack, I would say it is more of a smoothie. But I really enjoyed this. It was thick, fruity, and I think it was healthy too. There were some banana lumps, which aren't a negative to me at least.

Lays Stax Adobadas ($2)- Adobadas means marinated, and Que Rico is how rich.  Not sure how that makes sense, maybe just rich marinated. But these tasted pretty good. I just wish they were spicier.

The value of this box was about $11.24. I am pretty happy with this value, since the box was only seven bucks. I used all of the products in here too, and was happy with all of them.

Verdict: Great box.

May Goodies Co. Review

Goodies Co. is a pretty awesome snacky subscription box owned by Walmart. The reason for its excellence and success, in my opinion, is how cheap it is.  Full Size in a $7 box: awesome.
Bronco Bobs Cranberry Chipotle Sauce ($1.50)- I love anything involving spice usually, and this was no exception.  Well actually, I didn't love love it, but it was pleasant.  It tastes great on crackers.

Beanitos Nacho Cheese ($1.00)- I usually don't like anything related to beans, but these were pretty good. The bean flavor was subtle enough for me to enjoy this.  I'm just not sure how I feel about the flavor. I liked the flavor of the ones I got in a healthy surprise before.

Zico Coconut Water ($4.34)- I love coconut water so much! I find it just the perfect refreshment. I was ecstatic when I found this in the box.
Free Wholly Guacamole Product up to $6.50 ($3.00)- I am only counting this for three dollars because these products were on sale when I used this coupon for three dollars, so that is what I got out of  this coupons.  But this brand is pretty good, for store bought guacamole. I like that they offer single serving snack packs.

Sour Power Straws in Strawberry ($1.00)- I loved these! These had a huge nostalgia factor for me, because I loved sour punch straws as a kid. I also liked that these actually tasted like strawberry, not artificial.

Sour Power Straws with a bunch of flavors ($1.00)- Mmmm... So good, same as above, tasted actually like fruit!

(2) California EVOO packets ($1.20)- I really don't know how to judge olive oil properly, since I don't notice flavor differences when I change olive oil brands. So I can't give a proper review of these. I can tell you that they will be used though.

(Not Pictured) Moroccan Mint Numi Tea ($0.36)- This was hiding in the bottom of the box, so I didn't get it pictured.  Anyways, I just gave away a gift box of a bunch of  my teas including this one. The person was happy, so that's good I guess.

The total value of this box is $14.35. This is a great value considering it is double what I payed! I don't know why one wouldn't subscribe.

Verdict: Goodies Co. is a great box, even for people with a strict-ish budget.

April Goodies Co. Review

I am fairly confident that if you have been in the subscription box world for at least a couple months, that you have probably heard of Goodies Co. It is a Walmart Brand food and snack subscription box. Right now, it is one of the most popular boxes mostly due to the fact that is only $7.  It is one of the cheapest subscriptions out there, and who doesn't like food?  But the box does ship pretty slow, at least for me.

Goodies Co. is right now on a wait list.  You have to give your email address to wait for an invite, and then when you subscribe to the box, you usually have to wait two months to get your first box.  Apparently I cancelled in January, I didn't think I did, but that is what their website said.  Then I had to sign up again in February, so this is my first Goodies box in a LONG time.  Anyways, I was still looking forward to getting my goodies!

This month didn't have a definite theme, it was just called the spring box (even though the weather tricked me into believing that it was February).  I believe I recieved Box #6 this time.
Wai Lana Lime Chili Chips ($3)- These chips were probably my favorite thing out of the box.  The chips had an airy texture, and a lime-chili combo on practically anything is good in my taste. I don't know if I would buy more of these though, they just didn't blow me away that much.

White Chocolate Amaretto Cookies ($0.50)- This was OK, I just wish I tasted the white chocolate. It mostly just tasted like almond extract to me, and needed some more kick if it was supposed to taste like Amaretto   I buy similar things to these at Costco, except they come in a huge pack (like anything at Costco), and are filled with caramel! Yum.

Riega Foods White Cheddar Cheese Sauce Mix ($1.50)- I haven't tried this yet, but it sounds like a great quick mac & cheese lunch to have on a weekend. Mac and cheese is always tasty, and I am expecting this to be even better than Kraft since it looks higher quality.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Zone Bar ($1??)- Zone bars taste a little too healthy to me, but my siblings pounced on this immediately.  Apparently some people are crazy for them. I found it odd that on the goodies.co website it says this is a Taster Box Exlusive where it usually says the price.  That's why I couldn't find the value. What lies! I get these ALL the time at Target. Pssh, taster box exclusive, yeah OK.

Angie's Sweet and Salty Kettlecorn ($1.19)-  I got this at Costco a couple months ago, and proceeded to eat all the packs of this because it was so tasty! Not too sweet, just how I like it. But after eating the whole costco pack of like 30 bags, I feel like I never want to eat this again. But I am sure someone else will!

Green Giant Sweet Potato Multigrain Chips ($3.00)- Well I thought these were overall pretty flavorless.  They tasted like eating salted paper, there wasn't much sweet potato flavor. But I checked the reviews on the website and it seems like everyone loves them.. Weird.

The total value of this box is $10.19. This value is actually pretty awesome considering that it is only a 7 dollar box. I didn't like some of the products, but I was happy overall, and it was definitely worth my seven dollars.

Verdict: With this box being so cheap, I don't see why you wouldn't subscribe!
