August Love With Food Review + 10$ coupon

I have been really loving Love With Food (referral link) lately. For their summer boxes, I think all of them have been a hit so far (this one was good too).  Love with food is a gourmet snack subscription box that has been around for awhile, well as far as subscription boxes go.  It is $12 a month, but the price goes down when you buy longer plans. This box is special because they donate a meal with every box, so that should make you feel awesome.  Every month has it's own theme and the past couple of boxes have been summer themed. This one was Backyard BBQ.

El Pinto Medium All Natural Salsa ($0.75)- This was really awesome. I had a late night craving for salsa and this satisfied it completely..  It tasted really natural and better than most salsas I've had.  But I am pretty sure some people would find this too spicy.  I didn't think it was at all,  but I am used to spiciness at most levels.  My guess is that some subscribers aren't exactly used to a lot of spiciness.  But I loved it.

Lightly Salted Snapea Crisps ($0.75)- These were kinda like pea flavored cheetos, except they were mostly pea, and not some deep fried puff thing. I thought it was pretty good, but it didn't taste that much like peas.

Rip van Wafels Caramel Filled Waffle Cookie ($1.50)- This was also very good.  I love caramel, so I got excited at the mere sight of it.  There are very similar (almost the exact same) things at Costco, but there are like a million and they come in stacks.  

Some coupons

Aunt Sally's Original Creamy Praline ($2.50)- This was so tasty! It was super delicate for a praline, hence the creaminess, and it tasted very caramelly.  I kinda wish there were more pecans but I kind of don't since it might take away from the creaminess.

Project 7 Mints ($1)- I really like the test tube packaging on this.  As for the mints, they are pretty good.  I just wish they were a bit stronger, but that's just me. And the cause for this is cool, it's a donation in a donation!

Dizzy Pig Tsunami Spin BBQ Seasoning ($1)- I had this on some asian chicken and noodles and it was delicious.  It added a big peppery kick to it, which was really nice.

Sahale Snacks Fruit and Almond Crunchers ($1)- I really like Sahale Snacks. Mixed nuts usually aren't my thing, but these had some really nice flavors like sesame, cranberry, and honey.

BOPS Sea Salt Potato Crisp ($1)- I was pleasantly surprised with this. They were like your standard potato crisps, just a bit fluffier, and they actually tasted like potato (and they were healthier).  They weirdly enough reminded me of french fries. 

The total value of this box was about $10.  This is actually pretty great for this box and I liked all the products. I am not sure how a lot of them fit with the theme though. With the exception of the barbecue rub, I think this would be more of a picnic theme. But whatever, it was still awesome.

Verdict: This was a great box. 

July Love With Food Review

I want to start out by saying that I think Love With Food has been doing a great job lately. At first I was kinda meh with them, but I've thoroughly enjoyed the past couple of boxes. Love with food is a gourmet snack subscription box that has been around for awhile, well as far as subscription boxes go.  It is $12 a month, but the price goes down when you buy longer plans. This box is special because they donate a meal with every box, so that should make you feel awesome.

 This month's theme was "Under the Boardwalk." I think they're trying to go with fun summer themes for now.

KuKuRuZa Gourmet Hawaiian Salted Caramel Popcorn ($3.00?)- Salted Caramel seems to be all the rage, and I love it! Salty and sweet make a perfect combo in my book.  This was a lot better than the popcorn they sent in another box, because you could actually taste salt in this one!

Uncle Henry's Handmade Pretzel ($0.50?)- This was like a giant version of mini pretzels (like Rold Gold).  I liked it, but I think it may have been too crunchy.

Lord Nut Levington Spicy Bloody Mary Peanuts ($1.17)- I haven't tried these yet, but it sounds terrific, I love spicy things.

Nature's Bakery Strawberry Fig Bar ($1.75)- These were awesome. Kinda like fig newtons, only better. The strawberry flavor was definitely noticeable, and really complimented the fig. 

RealSticks BBQ flavor ($0.82)- I was a slim jim addict as a child, and this was like a step up from them. It had an awesome smoky flavor.  

Twangerz Snack Toppings ($0.25)- This was probably the most interesting thing in the box. It is actually different flavors of salt. The ones I got were Lime, Chili Lime, Lemon Lime, and Pickle. I had the Lemon Lime on some popcorn with some ranch powder and it tasted awesome.  

Angel Mint Orange Salt Water Taffy ($0.72)- I really like salt water taffy. This was no exception. It was sweet, soft, and delicious.

Necco Wafers ($0.20)- I find it funny that it says "The original candy wafer" on the packaging. Because there are literally no other candy wafers out there. And Necco things aren't very good, just for the nostalgia.

Hello Fresh $25 off "gift card"-  I am not sure if they deliver to my state yet, so I'll see if I can put this to use. 

The total value of this box was $8.41. This was a pretty sub par value, but I loved the products and how they matched with the theme.  And the meal costs something I'm sure, but probably not $3.50.

Verdict: Pretty good although the value was lower than usual.

June Love With Food Review

This box costs $12 monthly total and can go as low as $10 with an annual plan. What differentiates this box from other food boxes is that for every box they deliver, they donate a meal to a hungry child in America. This month was particularly special because they donated two meals with every box!

There are a lot of discounts online for LWF. Once I found one for $15 for a 3-month subscription. So if the $12 seems too pricey, just keep your eyes peeled for discounts!

This month's theme was "Summer Beach Bash"

 This month's box was packed!

Seaweed Love Olive Oil Roasted Seaweed ($2.75)- I loved this. Seaweed is one of my most favorite foods, so this was a favorite snack also.  It had a good amount of salt, and was a nice, light snack. I just wish somehow it would be filling, but I guess that isn't really possible. 

Smooze Mango and Coconut Fruit Ice ($2.33)- I haven't tried this yet but it sounds great.

Turbana Sweet Plantain Chips ($1.42)- I liked the salty ones they sent in a previous box, but these weren't terrible. I just thought they could use some salt.

Soyjoy in Mango Coconut ($1.19)- Oh Soyjoy, I remember I would always eat these in elementary school. I would eat them and lie through my teeth and say they were good. I don't know why I pretended they were good, I think I just liked the name and the advertisements for these. I find them a bit dry, but they aren't as bad as I remember. 

Do More Pineapple Coconut Cereal Bar ($1.92)- This was awesome! It was like a rice cereal treat, just with an awesome pineapple coconut flavor. 

Surf Sweets ($1.25)- I was expecting these to be sour, but I was kinda sad that they weren't. They were really sweet and had a nice texture. I ordered more of these for free with my rewards points. Some sour flavor comes when you order them so I'm looking forward to that. 

2 Hillside Go Organic Hard Candy ($0.50?)- These were really good. I liked that they actually tasted like fruit. The flavors on these were interesting, blood orange and green apple. Well, mostly just the blood orange.

Flavrz Organic Drink Mix ($2.50)- Water flavorings are great when water gets to boring. This was pretty awesome, added a fruity flavor to the water. I got more of these in this month's conscious box, and I was happy to have that (review coming soon for the conscious box).

1 pack Pur Gum in Pomegranate Mint ($1.80)- Aspartame free gum seems to be all the rage these days. But I guess I like it because I don't really want cancer.  I liked the flavor, I just wish it lasted longer! That seems to be the problem with all the aspartame free gums.

The total value of this box is $15.66! This is the best LWF value I'd ever seen so far. I liked all the products too!

Verdict: Excellent box, good job LWF. 

May Love With Food Review

What differentiates this box from other food boxes is that for every box they deliver, they donate a meal to a hungry child in America.

There are a lot of discounts online for LWF. Once I found one for $15 for a 3-month subscription. So if the $12 seems too pricey, just keep your eyes peeled for discounts!  

 This time, the box came in a padded USPS envelope and some cellophane!

 This month's theme was "Mother's Day Breakfast in Bed."

Great Full Cookie from The Cookie Department, Inc. ($3)- Overall, this Cookie was pretty tasty. I liked  that it had sweet potato and cranberries in it, it made it taste very unique. I just wish there was more sweet potato flavor.  The cookie itself was a bit dense also, but I may just buy more.

Tomato Crunch from Snapz Chips ($1.43)- I don't know why but these were just not very good to me. They obviously have a super strong tomato flavor, since they are just tomatoes, it was just so overwhelming that I had to give the rest of it away. I usually like tomato, but these just weren't for me. I'm sure tomato lovers would adore these!

Authentic Almond Biscotti from Biscotti Bari ($1.50- I received these in a past Yumvelope, and it is the flavor is usually nice, but it can be a little hard at times.  Pro tip, if you dip them in a hot drink, they taste delicious!

Caffe Borsa Premium Hand Drip Coffee ($1.13)- This is kinda interesting in the way it is supposed to be prepared. You may be able to see it in the picture, but inside this packet is a little paper cup thing containing the coffee  It has some sort of strapping mechanism that you put on your coffee cup or mug, then your pour hot water into it and boom! Coffee. I haven't tried it yet, but I will soon!

Strawberry Preserves from Bonne Maman ($0.50?)- This came in an awesome little jar to try! By the way, these preserves are also awesome.  They arent overpoweringly sweet like some store brands.

Ms. May's Mini Crunch in Blueberry almond ($1.06)- This was supposed to be the mystery item for this box since it didn't say its exact name on the provided information card.  And these were delicious. They were little cubes of some cereal like stuff combined blueberries and almonds. Great flavor and texture! 

(2) Latte Candy from Bali's Best ($0.78)- Anyone who is a coffee fan would love these. All the flavor of coffee without some of the hassle. Tasty.

2 packets of Slap Ya Mama original Cajun Seasoning- ($0.50?)- I have no idea how this fits with the theme, maybe we are supposed to add these with some eggs.  But that is besides the point, I still have 2 almost full cans of Zatarian Creole Seasoning from the Big Game Cravebox, so it's not like I needed anymore. I will still use these and see how they taste.

The total value of this box is about ten dollars. Surprisingly  this is the highest value that LWF has had in a long time. Ten dollars is a good value since they donate a meal with every box. 

Verdict: This box was good. A lot of new products that other subscription boxes haven't gotten their hands on (except the snapz).

April Love With Food Review

Sometimes, LWF has special guests curate their boxes, this month it is  Andrew Zimmern from Bizarre Foods. I was really excited for that box because I am completely open to any food, no matter how bizarre. 

This month's theme was "Weird, Wild, and Wonderful Foods."

 The box for this month had contents that could not be contained!

 These don't look too weird, but they do look wonderful!

Lemony Lover Oloves Olives ($1.28)- These were sooo delicious.  I never really knew that I loved olives until this box.  They had a really nice acidic flavor with some nice seasonings added. I will definitely buy more!

SomerSaults Salty Pepper Nuggets ($1.33)-  These were really salty and peppery, but I liked them.  They were like a circular grain and sunflower seed cracker with lots of salt and pepper.  I might buy more of these also!

(2) Cocomels in Sea Salt and Original ($1.60)- I love me some coconut, so I was super excited to see that these were going to be included.  They tasted like caramel  just infused with some coconut, and they were delicious. Ordering more, like everything else in this box it seems!

Buff Lo Creamy Ranch Buffalo Dip  ($2)-  This sounds really good, just look at the title! I can't wait to try this with something.

The Good Bean Smoky Chili & Lime Chickpea Snacks ($3.17)- The flavor of these reminded me of fuego flavored Takis.  So these were pretty tasty, but I'll stick to takis, because I have a weird phobia of beans for some reason.

Mini Pops Air Popped Sorghum Grain ($1.21)- The texture of these were nice and crunchy, but I thought they were a little bland, so I added more salt and they were quite the treat.  I am not sure if I liked it better than popcorn though.

(Not Pictured, Whoops) Pollen Ranch Fennel Pollen  ($0.77)- This made the box quite stanky, but I will use it in some recipe sometime.

The total value of this box is $11.36.  This is actually one of the better values Love With Food has had recently. I am happy with this value since they donate a meal with every purchase.  The products in this box were quite awesome considering I will buy three of them again!

Verdict: This box is pretty good, and goes toward a great cause.

March Love With Food Box Review

Some times, LWF has special guests curate their boxes, and next month (April) it is going to be Andrew Zimmern from Bizarre Foods. I am really excited for that box because I am completely open to any food, no matter how bizarre. He did reveal that there would be cocomels in the box, and I love Cocomels!

Dark Chocolate Orange Good Fortune Cookie From Emily's Chocolates ($1)- This was yummy! I am a fan of fortune cookies and this was awesome. I really like chocolate orange combos. That's probably why I like Jaffa Cakes and Chocolate Oranges so much.

Granola from Ola! Foods ($.16)- I'll post this in an update.
Update- This was Ok, pretty plain in my opinion.

Chocolate Covered Wasabi Peas from Chocowasabi ($1??)- I love love love Wasabi. But I don't think it's really hot or spicy at all, just a bit tangy. I can eat plain Wasabi all day! So these choco peas were delicious! I was surprised how the chocolate complimented the tanginess of the Wasabi. I just wish it had more Wasabi flavor. I feel like I was in the minority for liking this though.

Fruit and Veggie Juice from Kids 50 ($2??)- I got this in break it down berry and it was really refreshing. I grew up in the 90's so I'm used to juice boxes not quenching my thirst lol. This tasted really fruity and not vegetabley at all!

Salted Carmel Baked Corn from Cosmos Creations ($2.49)- Mmmm, this may have been the highlight of the box for me. It was like those puffy cheetos, but instead of cheese, salty carmel. I will probably buy more of this through LWF.

Green Tea Infuser from Revolution Tea ($.50)- Haven't tried yet, will update.

Mary's Gone Crackers Snacks ($1)- I was a little bummed out because I got crackers and some people got pretzels. I'll post this in an update also.
Update- These were really seedy and tasted a bit too healthy. I think I would've liked the pretzels better but these weren't bad.

Wild Berry Flat Fruit from Wacky Apple ($1??)- I can't find the values of like half the things in this box! I will put this in an update.
Update- This was good, but nothing special. I like flat fruit so it was good.

The total value of this is $8, but maybe more since I estimated. This is an OK value since they donate a meal. I think I might cancel in 2 months.

Verdict: Subscribe when there are discounts for sure, regularly, maybe.
